The World Bank Institute's Health Systems Strengthening program has recently published a Training of Trainers' Manual on Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Management. It provides important guidance on the use of social accountability tools to promote greater transparency and accountability in the supply of essential medicines. It is based on a series of consultations with stakeholders and is intended primarily for civil society organizations.
